AppRocket DocumentationTips & TricksWeb Queries
You can use AppRocket to kick start the web using special items known as Web Queries.
Just search for any web query item by name (e.g. 'Google' or 'Dictionary.com') and
activate it with the return key. Once activated, AppRocket will await your desired
query — type it in, press the return key and off you go!
Folder browsingSometimes it happens that you want to browse your computer for files that have not been added to AppRocket. To save you time, we built folder browser right into AppRocket. Simply select and item in AppRocket and press the left arrow key on your keyboard to browse up a folder. Use the right arrow key to drill down into selected folders. As an added bonus, owner of newer Microsoft mice can use the back and forward buttons to browse instead. MusicMost people these days have large music collections on their computers. Searching these collections can be painful though, so we built special music features into AppRocket. Music files that contain extended information (i.e. ID3 Tags) will be displayed using the read artist, album and track titles. Also, music files will be specially highlighted for you within the results drawer so they are even easier to find. You can force AppRocket to treat music files as it would any other file using the option found in the Preferences. |
