- D3200, Nikon 1 and AW series support basic image capture only, a Nikon limitation.
- Manual focus is available only on pro level Nikon DSLRs like the D3, D600, etc. Other models like the D7100 need to have the manual focus switch toggled or capture using Live View. This is a Nikon limitation.

- Unconfirmed models have not been tested by us, and may have some issues due to slight differences in the Canon SDK. Please send in your reports so we can confirm these models as working.
- Older cameras like the EOS 400D are no longer supported by Canons SDK. They may work but with reduced functionality.
- Some Canon mirror-less cameras support WIA remote picture capture, for example the PowerShoot S3 IS, though it may be unreliable (i.e. sporadic loss of connection). You also have the option of installing CHDK firmware, which ads WIA support to certain Canon cameras.
Sony
Sony support is in beta, contact us if you'd like to beta test.

- VideoVelocity supports any Sony camera with the Camera Remote API.

GoPro
- GoPro has no official APIs for developers to use, and reliable time-lapse capture is not currently possible with these cameras.
- As soon as GoPro opens up the camera to developers we'll be sure to add support.
- The supported Sony HDR-AS100 is a great alternative and offers better image quality.
Other
We're always on the lookout for new Cameras that support remote capture and have APIs that allow for reliable long term capture. Let us know if you come across any cameras you'd like VideoVelocity to support.Notes
- Some point-shoot cameras can be unreliable for long term time-lapse recording, DSLR or IP Cameras are recommended!
- Use the Free edition to test your camera. Windows 7 or higher is recommended due to better camera drivers. Please see our DSLR tips page for recommendations.
